Una de las canciones que Alex me grabó en Mixtape cuando nos conocimos -y que me obligó a oficializarla como nuestra canción- es ésta. Absolute Beginners de Bowie. Corría 2003 y yo de Bowie solo era fan por el disco Hours. Lo juro. Y no me pareció muy chula, la verdad. Pero claro, tenía 17 años y era inexperto. Fue con los años que empecé a encontrarle el gustillo y ahora me parece una brutalidad, junto con todos sus clásicos que se han descubierto ante mí, desde Life in Mars hasta Suffragette City o Starman.
El caso es que siempre nos ha gustado ser un poco Absolute Beginners porque nos gusta vivir permanente como unos novatos, descubrir cosas cada día y pasarlo bien.
Y precisamente en unas pocas semanas, si todo va bien - y no lo digo públicamente por no gafarlo - nuestra vida va a dar un cambio bastante importante y después de un verano tan agitado, para bien y para mal, la verdad es que va a valer la pena.

7 años después, me encanta que además de seguir siendo "nuestra canción" (junto a "No es lo mismo", "Breathe" y tantas otras), su letra cobre más sentido que nunca.
